Souls were touched once again as we presented the December 2016 Regular Meeting of The Diabetic Kitchen, please take a few minutes to view the two videos from the meeting, we were truly Blessed.
Kendel’s Offering to the Diabetic Kitchen
For the December Meeting, we suspended the regular agenda to gather and offer Praise, Prayers, Testimonies, and Hope to the members of The Diabetic Kitchen and community who were in need of a Word, a Hug, Prayers, or simply the comfort of being with others facing the same pains and symptoms of Diabetes as they do.
We prayed and sang, we offered thanks to the Lord for allowing us another day on the human side of the Jordan River, and for Him allowing us the quality of heath that we enjoy daily, because, but for Him, we could be strapped to a hospital bed or enclosed inside of a coffin.
As Diabetics we tend to keep our thoughts and conversations “Real,” thus, we don’t tell one another, “If you don’t take proper care of yourself you’re going to get sick, because we’re already sick with Diabetes, so, if we don’t take proper care of ourselves, “We’re Going To Die!” That’s the hard truth of the matter.
It’s for this reason that we chose to host a Praise, Prayer, Testimony, and Hope-Filled Meeting to end our year.
We invite you to sit back and enjoy the videos, and we also invite you to the January Meeting on Thursday, January 26th in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church located at 119 Jefferson Street in New Iberia, LA. (the church is located at the corner of St. Peter and Jefferson Streets). We meet at 5:00 PM. This month’s presenters will be the Manager and Pharmacist of our Local Walgreen. The two will explain all that Walgreen has to offer and explain the medication we’re taking for our illness.
We hope to see you there as all meetings are open and free to everyone.
