EXTRA…EXTRA…EXTRA….A MEETING NOTICE…
On Thursday March 21, 2013 The Diabetic Kitchen will host their monthly meeting at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, located at 119 Jefferson Street, New Iberia, LA beginning at 5:00 pm.
The theme for this meeting will be “Coping with Death; Dying With Dignity.”
Our aim is to share with members several areas in the final transitional period which has been identified as a part of the process of Dying With Dignity.
Our intent is to aid members with understanding and accepting the “End of Life Journey” and to further aid them with proper preparation for the transition from this earthly home.
Our rational is the fact that dying is a constant shadow along the diabetic journey and if we don’t properly care for our disease, we’re going to die! Having said that, The Diabetic Kitchen want to stand as a aid to that transition by helping to prepare our members and their families. Let’s get our business together now, which will ease the discomfort and heartache for our families once we’ve passed.
One of our guest for the evening will be “Journey Hospice,” of New Iberia, who’ll offer a presentation centered around proper-pre-planning and making the journey as pleasant as possible. Also on the agenda is Mr. Peltier from Pellerin Funeral Home, who will offer advice on “The End of the Journey,” and “What Next”?
Join us as we share and enjoy one another’s company, once again.
